Feeling Words to Help Write Dialogue Letters
Many people have a difficult time finding just the right feeling word(s) for their dialogue letters. To make it easier, just ask yourself “Is my feeling positive or negative?”
If it is positive, click on the “Positive” tab below, and if negative, click on the “Difficult” tab below
Once you choose Positive or negative, you will see a list of general feelings on the left. Click on the one that is closest to how you feel. That will open a list of more detailed feeling words to choose from. Find the one that best matches your feeling.
For example: My feeling is positive, so I click on the positive tab. Next, I see the list of general feeling on the left, and I would say that my positive feeling is “Happy,” so I click on that. The new list that appears once I click on happy has many words to choose from, so I pick the one that is closest to my “happy” feeling. Perhaps I choose “elated.” If so, I will write my dialogue letter on my “elated” feeling.
